  • George Washington was the very first president of the United States. He was inaugurated on April 30, 1789. His first job was to start a working government. He created three different departments. The three were treasury, state and war. This whole group became known as the president's cabinet.
  • Whiskey Rebellion
  • The financial crisis was when the American Revolution left the nation in debt. The government owed 52 million dollars, and they were not making enough money at the time to pay it back.
  •  Problems In The Northwest Territory                       
  • Hamilton's Financial Plan was a purposed plan with three different parts. The first part was to pay back all state and federal debt. Then, he would create a national bank. Lastly he would create high tariffs on imported goods. In the end, it was a success. He paid back all of the debt, he created a national bank, yet the high tariffs turned into two political parties with two different opinions.

  • The Whiskey Rebellion was the first to test the will of the government. It showed Americans that armed rebellion wasn't acceptable in public.
  • PROTEST! PROTEST!

  • The problems in the Northwest Territory were that the British promised to leave their forts within a reasonable time. This became a problem because ten years later they were still in the same place in the same forts. This leaded to the Battle Of Fallen Timbers. Then that lead to the Treaty Of Greenville.
  • We need you all to leave your forts within a reasonable time...
  • The French Revolution was an uprising to destroy the unfair class system. The three main things that lead to the French Revolution were a financial crisis, and economic depression, and an enlightment. Then, the ordinary people created a new government called the National Assembly. Marquis De Lafayette was an important person during this process.
