- Maui used his powers usually for pranks and mischief. So his brothers thought they were flawed and wouldnt let him come fish with them.
- One day mauis brothers came back with not a single catch,, Maui took advantage of this and told them that if they took him they would catch a lot more fish.
- Where maui took them the fishing proved poor, the brothers only caught one shark.Then maui took a fishing hook that his father gave him.
- The fishing hook caught the ocean floor and maui thought it was a fish.
- So maui was there pulling for two days until the land started rising, one of the brothers looked back in curiosity which caused the line to break.
- the land stopped rising but what stood above the water created new islands.
