Washing and Co. were trying to get away from the Redcoats/Hessians, so they devised a plan to cross the Delaware River
The colonial men crossed the Delaware river, to get away from the Hessians and Red Coats.
They reached the other side and we invited to stay at someones's place, Washington also sent someone to look for General Lee and Gates.
They had a meeting in the place they were staying and devised to attack the Hessians on the other side of the river on Christmas day, before they lost all their soilders who only signed up for a year of service.
December 25, 1776 at night they cross the river
December 26, 1776 at 8 in the morning at the fort in Trenton they attack the Hessians and come out victorious.
