So the person who discovered Mount Garibaldi was Atwell Duncan Francias Joseph King?
Yeah, it`s a pretty long name.
But it's named after Giuseppe Garibaldi? weird, I always thought that who ever discovered it, named it after themselves.
I guess that's not always the case.
Here we are! Now lets go find that volcano!
Hopefully it won`t take long.
I haven`t thought about it, but it is good to know. The information we know from both sides can help us determine the future of volcanoes. Like whether or not it will erupt in the next few years. Or help connect missing links to answers. It`s really helpful to know.
It formed on the North American plate when the Juan de Fuca plate subducted underneath, and its near Squamish territory. Ever wonder how using knowledge from the First Nations can help us study geological processes?
An argument and a long trek later...
How deadly were its eruptions? Got to be pretty dangerous if there aren't any people living around here.
You are actually correct, it`s eruptions were explosive! Causing threat to local communities and creating hazards! It`s a good thing it`s dormant now, huh?
We finally found it! After so long!
Uhh, we should probably get outta here NOW!
*Volcano rumbles*
That`s great and all, but I thought the volcano was dormant.. Why`s the ground shaking??
