I declare that every new born male shall be fed to the crocodiles!
You will be safe Moses. I promise.
Egyptians made the Israelites their slaves and were very cruel to them. They made them carry big stone and mud blocks and they had to make the mud blocks too. Moses, family's house was made of mud bricks and only ha one or two rooms.
Good bye and be safe my son...
The Pharaoh worried about how there are many Israelites and feared that they might grow strong. So he made a new law that will reduce the population of the Israelites. The law was that every newborn boy would be feed to crocodiles. That meant Moses would have to be fed to crocodiles.
Oh no! That poor baby. Why is it in the river?
Ok you can keep him but you give him to the care taker so he can be taught and nurtured.
When Moses' mother, Jochebed, heard the new law she hid Moses for three months until. Moses started to cry or scream which would make the guard suspicious. Which made Jochebed worry for the safety of her baby.
May I keep him father? I already have care taker for him..
Jochebed knew that she couldn't hide Moses anymore. So she put Moses in a strong, sturdy basket filled with blankets so he could be safe and the soldiers would not find him. Jechebed prayed for her baby"s safety.
The Pharaoh's daughter was bathing when she found baby Moses crying in is basket while floating down the Nile River. She fell in love with poor baby Moses so much that she adopted him.
She asked the Pharaoh if she could keep baby Moses. The Pharaoh said yes but that someone from the village would have to nurture and teach him the Egyptians ways. so Moses' mother got total care of Moses.
