#### Storyboard Text

• Phew that was so close. What is her problem? Why is she driving so fast at a school zone?!?
• What do you mean 60 mph and 15 mph?!? My dashboard only goes by feet per second! I was going at 88 ft per second.
• Excuse me Miss can I please see your driver's license since you were driving way over the speed limit. In a school zone the speed limit is only 15 mph; whereas, you were driving at least 60 mph.
• The police car goes racing down the road to catch up to the women going down the street almost hitting the girl.
• The girl moves out of the crosswalk and runs to the sidewalk for safety
• The cop catches up and gets to pull over the women *Women gets out of car and the girl is a bystander*
• The bad driver challenges the police officer. If he can calculate mph to ft per sec under ten minutes she will drive at that speed limit and it will go on her permanent record, but if he fails to then they will forget this whole thing ever happened.
• Police officer explains the math process that explains how to convert miles per hour to feet per second. 60 mph=88 ft per sec and 15 mph=22 ft per sec
• 60 mi/1 hr= 88 ft/1 sec 1) 60 (5280 ft)/60(60)= 316800 ft/3600 sec= 88 ft/1 sec 2) 15 mi/ 1 hr= x ft/1 sec 3) 15 (5280 ft)/ 60(60)= 79200 ft/ 3600 ft=x ft/ 1 sec 4) 3600x=79200 5) x= 22ft 15 mph= 22 ft per sec
