  • Peninsulares were born in Spain. They could also hold the highest political positions
  • Creoles were spaniards born in latin america. The only office they could hold is military office. Creoles led most of the independence movements in latin america. A creole named Toussaint Louverture lead the Hatain revolution
  • Mesitozs have one Spanish parent and one native parent. Mesitozs lead the spanish revolution. Above it was Father Miguel Hidalgo.
  • Mulatos had one African/slave parent and one Spanish parent
  • The Asiento were first used as slaves in the Spanish colones, but this failed because they were licensed and protected. They then used the captive africans as slaves. They new slaves revolted and started the Haitian revolution led by Toussaint L'Ouverture
