- Although five years had passed, my love and interest towards princesses was still the same. The only thing that changed was that I was now able to read books instead of just watching the movies.
- Reading made me realize something I didn't before. In every princess tale, the ending was the princess always being rescued by a handsome prince. They all needed one to have the longed for "happily ever after."

- Am I able to be a princess without one?
- In my class there was this boy named Agustin. He was the first boy I had ever liked. He was very handsome and a good candidate to be my prince.
- So I decided to send him a love letter, and what I got in response was my letter folded like an origami bird. Not a real answer. That broke my heart...
- However, after crying when I got home, I realized that I didn't need Agustin to have a "handsome prince" by my side. I realized that I don't need any prince to be a princess. I just simply need myself.
