A lot of women realized how poorly they were treated and wanted more rights. Women could not go to college or have jobs. They often stayed home and took care of their kids just like Betty in the picture above.
ONLY MEN HAVE RIGHTS!!
WE WANT RIGHTS!!!!!
In the scene Betty is starting to gather together women who feel the same as her. She gathers girls who want equal rights for women.
Betty gathered more and more women of all classes, races, and religions. She collected more women to soon take them to a State Council meeting to protest the rights they deserve.
Betty and women she gathered went to the State Capital the night of the meeting and demanded a change. The council men replied that only men should have rights when one man joined the group of ladies.
After one joined others joined. The State Council finally said yes to the group of women. They agreed to pass a bill that allowed women to vote. Many states followed in their foot steps as across America all women could vote.
Women Now have the right to vote in America. Women across America.
