  • The Battles of Lexington & Concord happened on April 19, 1775. It was the first battle of the Revolutionary War, it's also known as "The shot heard round world". The Patriots fought the whole war on their home soil.

  • The Declaration of Independence was written and signed in what is now called Independence Hall in July 4, 1776. People involved in the writing were Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Roger Sherman, and Robert Livingston.
  • The Battle of Yorktown
  • The Battle of Saratoga was from September 19, 1777 to October 17, 1777. It was considered a turning point of the Revolutionary War. Not only did the Patriots win the battle, but it convinced the French to fight with the Patriots.
  • The Treaty of Paris 1983
  • Valley Forge was one of eight encampments for patriots to temporarily settle. The Patriots would stay there from December 19, 1777 to June 19, 1778. Women were there to take care of sick people and managed soldiers.
  • They are very ill and tired.
  • The Battle of Yorktown took place from Sep 28, 1781 to Oct 19, 1781. It was the last major battle of the Revolutionary War. General Cornwallis of Britain and his troops surrendered to the patriots since they were pinned on a peninsula by a river.
  • The Treaty of Paris 1783 was an agreement singed in Paris to end the war and for America to gain Independence. It was signed by King George III and representatives. This means that the Native Americans lost their land and the African Americans lost a chance for freedom.
