I am Sir John A MacDonald, president of the USA. I support the British people, and don't like the Mètis people , but I pretend to like them because I want to stay president and be rich. Mwahahah
There were a number of battles the Metis and English people fought. Here are the main ones:
Meet Louis Riel and President John A. MacDonald
I am Louis Riel, once commander of the Metis people. I have come back to lead my people and get them their needs.
Riel and MacDonald are arguing about the Metis rights and they both are preparing to go to war with each other.
This guy is definitely asking for a war
Gabriel Dumont, military commander who likes surprising people with attacks!

Riel and his supporters set up a provisional government in March, 1885, hoping to make their demands heard. within a week, however , MacDonald had assembled 3000 troops near Batoche. While Riel prayed, his appointed military commander, Gabriel Dumont used guerrilla tactics (ambushes and surprise attacks) to aid him in some of the battles.
Dumont and Riel are making ambush plans for their enemies.
The Battle of Fish Creek
The battle of Cut Knife
Massacre at Frog Lake
The battle of Batoche: *Riel surrendered and was arrested*Dumont fled to the U.S.A (coward)
The Battle of Duck lake
After getting arrested, there was a trial for treason, and Riel was found guilty. In 1886, Riel was hung for committing treason.
The final battles*The Cree continued their resistance for a few days but the fighting ended at Loon Lake on June 3rd.
