- Hi there! My name is Rory Mckenna, i live on Henrietta street in 20th century Dublin. Today i'm going to be going through a day in my life
- Its Tuesday morning, which means its school time! As you can see, the streets are filled with hundreds of children in the morning due to them making their way to school.
- During the 20th century in Ireland, the majority of schools were under the control, as such, the teachers would often be priests. Here we can see an example of Corporal punishment. A very common practice in these times

- On my way home, i see all kinds of things on Henrietta street. Pawn shops, one of the few ways family's without jobs could make money, were very prominent, another way to make money was to make your child go out and sell goods
- This is my mother, Saoirse. While me and my father have been out all day, she has been at home. She's doing the cooking, she cleaned the clothes and she cleaned the Room. Mothers in the tenements performed incredible labor daily
