- Romeo goes to friar Laurence to see if he would approve a catholic marriage with Juliet, Romeo explains to friar Laurence how he fell in love with Juliet and that he forgot about Rosaline.

- Mercutio and Tybalt begin to fight ending with Mercutio dead.
