- The battle was fought between British/mercenaries and Patriots which caused many casualties for the patriots. After retreating back to their base, they retreated back to New York (this was probably Washington's worst lost in the war.)
- Battle of Brandywine
- General Washington's men crossed the frozen Delaware river on Christmas and ambushed the German Mercenaries and the British on December 26th.
- Battle of Saratoga
- General Washington's army went on the offensive and flanked the British troops, which led Washington to lead his army on his horse. Then after losing the battle, the British mostly left New jersey after the Princeton Battle.
- Summary
- The battle was a huge loss for the patriots, and Washington lost Philadelphia to Britain. Which made the patriots lose their two battles winning streak.
- This battle was the turning point of the the whole war. This battle was a major win for the patriots and it also caused France to team up with the patriots,
- At first we were suffering major defeats in the American revolution. Then one day Washington had a plan to cross the Delaware river and attack British which was a major victory (Trenton), and we had also won the next battle (Princeton.) However the battle of Brandywine was a huge loss for the patriots, until the battle of Saratoga which was a major turning point for the patriots.
