Macbeth has just entered the cave asking the witches to show him his prophecy using their dark magic. He tells them he does not care how the witches get the information, he just wants it.

The first Apparition comes to deliver the information to Macbeth. He warns Macbeth to watch out for Macduff, cause he might be planning something to remove Macbeth from the throne.

The second apparition tells Macbeth there is nothing to worry about, no man can take his throne away from him. This reassures Macbeth as he has no one to fear anymore about taking his throne.
The third apparition tells Macbeth to take courage as their is no way he can be defeated. Unless the Birnam Woods expand to Dunsinane Hill.
After the third apparition vanishes, Macbeth demands more information be given on the prophecies. He demands the witches to give him more answers. The cauldron disappears before the witches chant the word 'show'. Eight kings appear plus Banquo. Leaving Macbeth to be in shock.
