  • Jonathan is a man working at a telephone company's customer service department.
  • He is a very dedicated worker and is one of the best workers in his department.
  • However with advances in technology, his position has since become automated, and his position was sadly no longer needed.
  • Jonathan is ignored about his termination from the company based on the fact he had an at-will contract, and they can fire him whenever they want.
  • Jonathan has since then been complaining to Human resources about his termination

  • I would personally go for the accommodation option as I would prefer the employee to leave the company on good terms, and also know that he is not at fault he was fired from the company.
  • The Human Resource Manager has two options in this situation. He can either use avoidance and let the company sort this out and Jonathan then is asked to leave, or the Manager can accommodate with how Jonathan is feeling about being fired and mention how he was at an at will contract to be terminated at any time
