- In the spring of 1608, Dugua wanted Champlain to start a new French colony and a fur trading centre on the shores of the St.Lawrence river.
- One month later
- After months and months of sailing there was only 1 month left!
- Well Champlain was sailing the First Nations were just living their life by hunting for food and making clothes.They lived peacefully before Champlain showed up.
- This shelter isn't gonna build it's self
- finally they had arrived in what we call now Canada.
- Right when Champlain and his men arrived he said,"get to it."Because in 6 months winter would be arriving.
- For the last 5 months Champlain worked his men to the bone. Did you know that Champlain's shelter was the first colony to be built in Canada?
