  • Stoker wrote this novel as diaries and letters of the main characters; however, the story revolves around the "Count Dracula", a mysterious and strange monsterAtt: Your friend,Dracula
  • In a part of the novel, Van Helsing (a doctor) says an important phrase that reveals the inspiration of Stoker
  • ...Vovode Dracula who won his name against the Turk, over the great river on the very frontier of Turkey-land
  • We have to remember this moment of the life of "The impaler", when we fought against the Turks and he won, so, we can know that Vlad was an inspiration of Stoker for to write his story
  • However, the professor Elizabeth Miller, argues:
  • Stoker did not know very much about The Impaler when he wrote his novel; also, there was not any reference of Vlad in this age
  • We can not be sure about the origin of the vampires; although, we are sure that Stoker did not invent the vampires, because in this age was very famous the monsters in theatrical productions
