The eighth amendment says that "no cruel or unusual punishment should be given." The Georgia Court believed that Gregg should be sentenced to death, because he commited murder. Gregg was tried twice - for robbery and murder.
Sir please. It's violating the eighth amendment*. They can't do this to me.
I'm not so sure Gregg. You were guilty of murder and armed robbery.
Basically, Gregg was tried (two times) and found guilty of murder and armed robbery. He was sentenced to death. But Gregg believed the death penalty was unconstitutional, and appealed to the Supreme Court about this.
I don't believe this. The death sentence is cruel and I don't deserve it, neither do the other people. Well, I still have one more chance.
