- HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF SUCH THING!
- Oh no it''s my fault
- On the right there is Mr.Birling, Mrs.Birling and Eric Birling. On the left there is Sheila Birling and Gerald who is her fiance. They all gather together to have a big dinner to celebrate Sheila's and Gerald's engagement. They are all as happy as bunnies.
- I cannot believe she's dead...
- The inspector rudely interrupts Gerald and the Birling family's dinner. He asks Mr.Birling specifically if he knew this girl, called Eva Smith, who has committed suicide. After a while, Mr.Birling admits he knew the girl and says how he fired Eva for standing up for herself 2 years ago. Then Sheila comes into the room and acts very concerned.
- I did NOTHING wrong how DARE you
- Sheila then asks to see a picture of a girl and then acts surprised. She looks so surprised like she won the lottery. The inspector then question Sheila about how she knew Eva. Sheila then reveals she got Eva sacked at her job because she was jealous and had a very bad day. Sheila blamed herself for the death of Eva Smith.
- So it's my fault?
- The inspector then questions Gerald. Once Gerald saw the picture of Eva smith, he said she was called Daisy. Gerald and Daisy had an affair last Summer (whilst he was with Sheila). Sheila and Gerald had a discussion in private and Sheila politely gave back the engagement ring and Gerald then left he house to go on a walk.
- The Inspector then questions Mrs.Birling. Mrs.Birling was very rude to the inspector and kept saying how she wasn't involved in the death of Eva Smith. She said how Eva visited her as she needed help with her life. Eva firstly said how her surname was Birling and Mrs.Birling felt disgusted. Eva was pregnant but she wasn't married with the father. Mrs.Birling decided that she won't help Eva and told her to go. Mrs.Birling didn't blame herself but she blamed the father of her baby for her death.
- Eric was next to be questioned. He said how he met Eva Smith and how he was the father of the baby. Mrs.Birling was shocked, surprised and sad. Eric then confessed how he stole money from Mr.Birling to try and help the baby. Mr.Birling got furious like a lion.
