At my grandparent's house, we always get together for Thanksgiving dinner. We almost have all of our family, and it's a great way to get together and have a feast.
On Thanksgiving Day at noon, lots of Native Americans and their decedents gather in Plymouth Massachusetts for the National Day of Mourning to remember what was taken from them. They go on a fast starting the evening of the day before, and then they march, give speeches, and break their fast.
I think I will tell people about what really happened, and celebrate more on being with my family. I will think more about the Native Americans and their story. I side with the Native Americans now, whereas before I thought that the Pilgrims and the Native Americans were always friends.
