- The black plague was a disease that spread everywhere in the 1300s. Many people got sick and died because of it. The plague killed over 25 million people ( around One-Third of the continents population)
- The black plague spread quickly, even if you were healthy and went to sleep you could wake up and be dead. Many people believe that the rhyme “Ring around the rosy” was written about the plague. Ways you could stop the plague was by washing your hands and staying away from people. prevention methods didn't always work. It killed 30-50% of Europe's population.
- The black plague was contagious. When it was spreading the doctors would not see anybody.It did not only affect humans but also affected sheep, pigs, cows, goats, and chickens as well. Over 80% of The U.S. died from the plague
- The plague started because rodents caught it and were going in the ships and were getting in the food and then the food caught the disease, then when people ate it they got sick and eventually had spreads the condition.Nobody knew why it spread because they did not have science, They just believed it was “God's Punishment”.
