  • Acceptance, not violence.By: Sarah Larson
  • If you where living in a town where you looked and lived differently then everybody else, how would you want to be treated?
  • In past history, there has been a number of people who have spoken out against separation and banned religions or cultures. One of these figures as known as Voltaire; Francois-Marie Arouet; who was one of the greatest French Writers of all time. Yes, he was an author, not a speaker or a leader, but that does not make any difference in his actions.
  • Voltaire has made and documented many important quotes that are both rational and likeable. Some are ¨Think for yourself and let others enjoy the privilege of doing so.¨ Another one is ¨The more a stupidity is repeated, the more it gets the appearance of wisdom.¨
  • The first one means to respect others thoughts as you would respect yours. The second quote has the appearance of pointing out how an action being repeated can be both good and bad.
  • I´ll umm let my friend take care of the rest.
  • Voltaire was born in Paris, France in 1694, but his real name is put up above. A fun fact we have here is that his famous pen name has an unknown origin. His wit got him arrested but he escaped and became the writer we know today.
  • While an author, he never got married nor had any children, but he got rich by exploiting an error in French lottery. However, the French government did not like this too much and they tried to ban most of his work.
  • Some of his greatest accomplishments were writing the tragic play "Edipe", wrote some essays about the Civil War, and he wrote the first modern essay that compared the nations in history.https://yolovoltaireswag.weebly.com/greatest-accomplishments.html
