In the beginning, there was nothing, except for God.
On the 1st day, God said "Let there be light" and God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light and the dark. He decided to call the light day and the dark night.
On the 2nd day, God said "Let the water of the earth be separated from the water in the heavens." He called this place the sky and he thought it was good.

On the 3rd day, God said "there shall be land and that it will be filled with every sort or plant and tree." And he saw that it was good.
On the 4th day, God said "let lights appear in the sky to separate the night and the day." There was sun for the day and the moon for the night. He also made the stars to light the earth. And God thought it was good.
On the 5th day, God said "let the seas be filled with fish and other life" and it was good. Then he "let the sky be filled with birds and all species." And he saw that it was good.
