Storyboard Text

  • Fish tend to move in groups together, called schools, which help them in protecting themselves from predators. Sharks and multiple types of small fish are considered to be a predator-prey relationship, where sharks are the predator, and the small fish are the prey. In this relationship, only the sharks tend to benefit.

  • When a shark preys on fish it tends to swim straight into the school of fish causing them all to swim away really quick. The fish that are to slow to swim away are the ones that are left for the shark to prey on.
  • If the sharks keep eating it will cause a decrease in the amount of small fish left to prey on.
  • This will lead to a decrease in the amount of sharks because there aren't enough fish for all of them to prey on.
  • As the sharks start to die off, it will then cause an increase in the population of small fish. This is because with the decrease in sharks its will give the small fish time to reproduce and increase their population.
  • If the sharks suddenly went extinct
