Storyboard Text

  • Well, goodnight see you tomorrow. I have to check on my children.
  • Yeah, sounds good. I can't believe women are working and taking care of children.
  • What good kids.
  • HELLO!
  • It's so good to be back!
  • It truly is!
  • During the First World War many women took over the roles of men by working in factories. Women wanted to be treated the same as men and also get the same wages.
  • The men are no better then us.
  • My husband has died, and now I have no job, how am I suppose to provide.
  • We deserve to still be in government just like the men! We even held their jobs positions in the war. I am going to fight until I see changes!
  • However that didn't stop them from taking care of their family and providing for their children. The women felt like they should be treated as equals after everything they had done for their families and for their country. They wanted to be recognized and they wanted change.
  • Isn't it great all the changes that are happening!
  • Yah I know! I love shorter skirts but I still think that we could be seen as more equal.
  • I totally agree. Women should be in government and making decision along side the men! We are more intelligent most of the time !
  • When the men came home they just expected to have their old jobs back. They didn't realize the roles that the women have played.
  • I can't believe there is a women sitting beside me.
  • Who would have thought that a women sitting in court would have ever happened. Good thing I stood up for myself!
  • Because the women fought for what they wanted there was less discrimination, more equality. They started to hold jobs that belonged to men even after the war. There was fewer clothing restrictions.
  • However the women kept on fighting. They wanted to be recognized as true equals. They weren't going to give up and were happy with the changes that they were seeing. The women wanted to be recognized.
  • Women kept fighting for their rights until they were able to vote, were accepted in to government, and were seen as equal to men. This shows that is you truly believe something to just stand up and keep fighting. So many of women's rights today were from women fighting in the 20th century.
