- Y'all children get the stones; I'll show you how to use them"
- Middle: Transitioning
- End: Adultlike
- All of the kids liked to annoy Miss Lottie. Lizabeth was the leader because she was the oldest so they did whatever she did. Lizabeth told them to start throwing stones.
- Lizabeth woke up Joey at 4 am and had him follow her, she didn't know where she was going at first but she went to Miss Lottie's. When she was at Miss Lottie's she started to rip up the marigolds. When she was done she knew that was the last childish thing she'd ever do again.
- Lizabeth finally realized she wasn't a kid anymore. Lizabeth finally realized that Miss Lottie onlypanted Marigolds to try and make beauty around them. All of the kids were too selfish to undertstand.
