Storyboard Text

  • In the beginning, there was a small lake. In the lake were two fish: one represented yin and the other represented yang. These opposites were always fighting, male and female, cold and hot, angry and calm, kindness and evil, dark and light.
  • I hate you!!
  • You're so difficult for no reason.
  • One day, a Goddess appeared and told the fish to stop fighting. Yin and yang swirled around her and she pushed them apart. Thus, the opposites were separated, and the world began to take shape. yin became the earth, while yang became the sky.
  • Stop your fighting! I need peace and quiet.
  • Every day for the next 15,000 years the Goddess was able to live in peace, now that the fish had stopped fighting. The Goddess realized that she had a new power, most likely gained from separating yin and yang.

  • The Goddess then began to create mountains and fill the valley with water to form great oceans. She created rivers with her hands and used her legs to create flat land. She grasped raw light and threw it into the sky to become the stars.
  • After those 15,000 years the Goddess had grown old and tired. She made the world with her hands and resolved the issues between yin and yang, creating balance. She was exhausted and wanted to sleep forever. Soon, she went to sleep and never woke up again.
  • When the Goddess died, her body released a powerful energy. That energy soon washed over the whole world, creating beautiful mountains, plants, flowers, and trees. Yin and yang then used the remainder of the Goddess’ energy to create the Sun and Moon.
