- today we are going to sign the new agreement
- but the raise in salaries is not mentioned here
- that is not in the agenda
- OFFICE
- This story is about ABC holding whose workers are represented by their unions demand a raise after not having a raise for more than 3 years. the management argue that the company is badly affected by covid-19 and has no better offer than 2% raise. the workers are not happy with with that. several meetings are held to discuss this issue even CCMA is called to mediate.
- BOARDROOM
- it look like we can afford only a 2% raise and nothing above that
- the CEO called a meeting and all relevant unions are present to sign the new agreement as the current agreement is coming to an end next year February. the unions are not happy with current salaries but unfortunately that is not in the agenda.
- OFFICE
- the CEO receives a written email from the unions about the issue of raise in salaries.
- OFFICE
- the management held a meeting to look at their financial reports and see if they can aford raise in salaries.
- the union will not agree to that
- the union receives a written email from the management about the issue they raised in their last meeting
- the management wrote an email to us. i will read it out loud
- the union write back to the management demanding a meeting
