- The Dawn Treader finds land again just before running out of supplies. On this island there is a beautiful English house with gardens. They set out to explore the house, but Lucy falls behind. She is alone on the beach when she hears loud thumping noises and then voices talk to her. They tell her that a magician lived in the house and put a spell on them to make them ugly. They also put a spell on themselves to make them invisible. They need Lucy to reverse the spell.
- Lucy must find the book of spells in the magician's house. She reads through the book and finds spells that do all different things. She even sees Aslan when reading one of the spells about becoming beautiful. She finally finds the spell to make the voices visible. Aslan brings her to the magician, Coriakin, and she finds out the whole story about the voices. They reverse the spell and she sees that they are giant one footed dwarfs. They end their stay at the island with a celebration at the ship.
- After they leave the island they sail for many days toward a large black mountain or island. As they get closer they realize it is not land at all, but it is darkness. Suddenly, they hear a voice coming from the water. It is a man. They pull him aboard and welcome him. He tells them to turn around and sail towards the sunlight. They find out the man is one of the Lords, Lord Rhoop. As they sail to the sunlight they pray to Aslan for help and safety.
