- Hola Nancy! My production of strawberries and apples are doing great- of course I specialize in tis kind of business-, I just had to make some adjustments to get a comparative advantage because of my competitors, they really don't make it easy.
- Hey Moriah, how is are the local business doing with the production of strawberries and apples?
- psssshhh thats good! But I heard Gonzalez's business has 7 workers picking strawberries and 4 workers picking apples. Seems like he has a great division of labor on his side.
- Ughhh that Gonzalez will be the death of me. I have to change my strategy. As of right now I only have 3 workers picking strawberries and 4 picking apples. It would be so beneficial if I can get faster people instead of more people.
- Wow. How? It seems like Gonzalez's supermarket has the absolute advantage when producing both. And has better economic interdependence, his production seems better , overall.
- I bet I could have a comparative advantage, if I stick to my plan with getting more efficient workers, like creating a division of labor, if I get workers that specialize in what I need I would definitely beat Gonzalez! There is no way his production of apples and strawberries is better than mine.
- I don't know much about comparative advantage, What is it? Although before you explain it to me your plan to produce better apples and strawberries and have better economic interdependence!!
- Comparative Advantage is the ability for one to produce a good or service for a lower opportunity cost than a competitor. Pretty simple, right?
- Gonzalez seems to still have the absolute advantage... Until you have the right data to support your idea, you cant be sure it can make your production better and have people convinced and persuaded to buy yours especially since he has the credibility. Maybe you guys can come up with an idea that benefits the both of you than having this feud.
- No I will be able to have better production than Gonzalez. No need for ideas that include us working together I will be able to have the best economic interdependence all alone with no collab with Gonzalez
- It wouldn't benefit you you're not gaining anything this is a negative opportunity cost... Gonzales will have better production unless you change your ways and ideas.
- How do you have better ideas than me and I have all this economic knowledge... Maybe his production is better, people should want his stuff. I have to focus on bettering my business and achieve the best absolute advantage
