Once there was a extrusive igneous rock. Until weathering came in and broke off sediments of the volcano and then the rock sediments fell in the ocean. Also over time erosion and deposition broke off sediments.
Then over hundreds of years us rocks formed to make another rock called a sedimentary rock
then we went through a process called cementation, and compaction and became this rock
then I was buried deep, deep under ground and was morphed into a different rock because of deformation. This rock is called a metamorphic rock because it was either a igneous or sedimentary and changed because of deformation and depostion
Now since I was morphed I look like this
Now I have melted to magma and I am waiting to be spit out by the volcano and crystalize into a extrusive igneous rock. Then continue the cycle
