- Youre wife doesnt love you! She's never loved you, she loves me.
- Gatsby confronts Tom with the truth about his and Daisy's affair. Gatsby talks over Daisy, and eventually him and Tom begin fighting, and Daisy has no say in her part in it.
- You must be crazy!
- She never loved you, do you hear?. She only married you because I was poor and she was tired of waiting for me. It was a terrible mistake, but in her heart she never loved any one except me!
- Gatsby explains to Tom how Daisy just didn't feel like waiting for him to return for the war, but she remained in love with him, Gatsby and Tom both discuss Daisy as if she is not in the room
- Sit down Daisy. What's been going on? I want to hear all about it.
- The men still do not allow for Daisy to respond. Gatsby is so afraid of facing the truth, of facing that the Daisy he's been chasing has changed, that he does not let her respond to Toms questions, because he is terrifed she will answer for herself.
- I told you what's going on. Going on for 5 years and you didn't know.
- You've been seeing this fella for five years?
