King Midas and the golden touch

- Once there was a king named Midas. He had a big kingdom and palaces but he was never happy with it.
- KING MIDAS AND THE GOLDEN TOUCH
- One day he was praying and he asked, "grant me a boon, Holy man! Whatever I touch shall turn into gold!"
- Son, your wish is granted
- The king became very happy.
- He touched his throne and it turned into gold. He touched chairs, table, statues and vase and all of them turned into gold
- He then ordered his dinner and as soon as he touched his food the food turned into gold. The king was surprised. He could not eator drink anything.
- Suddenly her daughter rushed in and as he put his hands around his daughter she turned into gold. The king was shocked and sad.

- He ran and begged the holy man to take back the boon and bring her daughters back to normal. He cried.
- The holy man appeared and gives him a bottle and said, "Sprinkle the water on all the things that have been changed into gold".
- When King Midas sprinkled the water, all the things came back totheir original form. The king was very happy and he had learnt his lesson.
- Moral of the storyGold does not give happiness.
