- One day Gemma was in her science class with her bestie Grace . Suddenly a Bunsen burner fell onto the floor and burnt her leg! Miss Akissi ran to get help.
- When Gemma popped to the loo she saw Grace with the most popular girls in her grade! "Ohhh here comes the disabled pig!" shouted Bess the leader of the group. "Hey Grace!" whispered Gemma ignoring Bess' comment. "Hey don't speak to her you cow. And by the way stop copying our style your hair makes you look like a rat!" With that Gemma wheeled herself out of the bathroom to cry on her own. Hibo a black girl saw all this and ran to tell her science teacher.
- She was rushed to A and E. The doctor said that Gemma would never be able to walk again and would have to use a wheelchair for the rest of her life. Gemma's mum was devastated.
- Gemma was upset that she would never be able to walk again. Her mother tried to pretend that everything was going to be fine by saying. I'll say on the parents group chat about it! Everyone will want to be your friend!
- The next day Gemma went to school and said hi to her bestie Grace. Grace looked her up and down and left with her new friend. Gemma was confused, but guessed Grace had just missed her.
- Hibo, Aminali and Faraji all took Gemma to Miss Akissi who said she would sort it out.
