John Wilkes Booth was an actor. He knew the theater and the performance like the back of his hand. The people always talked about him, he was very famous in the theater so he always entered the theater with bodyguards.

John Wilkes was very famous, he could go anywhere he wants. Since He knew the place very well, he went straight to Lincoln . He knew there was a part of the performance that everyone would start dying of laughter, that's when John took his shot. At 10:15, he pulled the trigger to his head and place a knife in his hand.
John Wilkes flashed his knife and dropped about 11 feet off the stage. He landed off balance snapping his bone in his left leg just above the ankle. Walking fast as he can across the stage, he managed reaches the back of the theater. Where his horse is waiting for him to take off.
His wife and several of his closet friends stood by the president's bedside. Lincoln was pronounced dead at 7:22 a.m. on April 15, 1865, at the age of 56. Meanwhile John ran for about 11 days but, the troops caught up to him. they gave him the option of surrendering before the barn was burned down. Booth remained in the barn as it went up in flames. Booth was then shot and killed in the burning barn On July 7.
