- Jeremiah 29.11What is our plan for the future of this Parish?Are we utilising our resources effectively?All people, of all ages, are our concerns.What do we do well, and how do we plan for the future?

- People come to Church for a variety of reasons. Some for what is known as the liminal rites,others to express or explore their faith,it's a safe place,to take their part in the shared mission of making Christ known
- being the eyes, ears and hands of the Body of Christ
- Throughout this year of Mark, we have heard Jesus repeatedly ask "What do you want me to do for you?"This is a question that we need to ask ourselves as the Churchlooking from the outside, and not as a mirror image.
- What does the Lord require?
- Where are the people if they are not in Church?They must be in the streets and lanes.I'm not an evangelist. I can't speak about my faith...
- For many, this is what they do, and how they live,but sometimes we don't apply what we do in Churchto being part of our mission every day.What resources do we offer?
- Do you recognise this as being our mission?ClockwisePlaygroups, Messy Church, Refugee Advocacy, Volunteers, Anglicare, Gisborne Community Care Foodbank, Ministry with Elderly.LLEN, Bible studies and EfM, Op Shops (times two)We're actually a very active and missional parish!
- But wait, there's even more!
- We need to see our property and buildings as stewards, investing in mission
- Overlay heaven!
- Our Hall, Op Shop and Sorting Shedsits on 2023 sqmThe Hall is not fit for useCan we afford to spend $300k to bring it up to standard?If yes, then how long will it last and how do we fund it?
- And the Parish Centre?
- Could we be better investing in our two properties at Riddells Creek?What is our long term strategy for 3137?Do we extend on what is there, or re-invest into the wider parish mission?Another storey on 8A Station Street?
- So, what has the Parish Council and Space and Property Committee being doing?
- Better utilisation of the space at MacedonPresently, there are so many overlays on the site,some development of the vacant land will be problematic

Who are we? What do we do? How this helps us doing what we are called to do Old people see visions.Young people have dreams.How do we see ourselves?
- There is room for improvement to amenity, but the block to the north is problematic due to topography and easement;the Parish Centre is 94 years old;and there is an heritage order on St Paul's and the fences
- During this process, Diocesan Officers consult with the Archdeacon and Parish Executive. Bus Tour of the properties of Gisborne Parish and Lancefield Romsey undertaken. Recommended external consultant be engaged, working concurrently with Caddick Design.
- Process followed Parish adopts Mission Action Plan 2018 Parish Council forms Property and Space Committee Assets thoroughly examined and costings for essential (minimal repairs investigated Parish Council begins compliance work on Sorting Shed
- The process gives us an excellent chance during a changing demographic and community profile to re-pitch our tent. We are a Parish over 165 years old. Short term fixes to stay the same won't work.The question is not "what we do ourselves" but what we decide to enable. 10 talents? 5 talents? 1?
