- These houses are so poorly constructed and it is so crowded and dirty
- Yeah I know, Birmingham and Sheffield has one of the biggest populations.
- There are a lot of poor people here and it is very crowded.
- Our wages are low and the employees could set wages as low as 6 to 72 cents.
- Yeah I know! and we don't even get fed full! I have no energy to work!
- We work here 14-16 hours in a day and work 6 days and recieve little payment
- I work in the mine and I would get sick from poisonous gases,coal dust and explosive gases.
- I am so exhausted and hungry because I don't get enough food and I work all day.
