hmm...I wonder what they're laughing at?*awkwardly laughs* along
He so dumb!*laughs*
Hey Charlie...What's 1+1? *laughs*
It worked!!! I'm SMART!!!!
Welcome Charlie. Come on in.
Hey yall guess what... I'm smart!
There seems to be something wrong with his left(logic) side
OMG It's true!!!
I did it!
Ouch Algernon what's wrong. It's me...Charlie.
What's gonna happen to me if the opertion did this to Algernon?
NOOOOOOOOO!! Algernon! *cries*
The Children are making fun of Charlie and he dosen't even understand what's going on.Meanwhile Algernon has undergone the operation and Dr. Nemur and Dr. Strauss are waited to test Charlie against him. Charlie was often made fun of for being mentally challenged. He was determined to the point where he'd do anything to be smart. So Charlie decides to take the operation since it seemed to work for Algernon who is a labrat then it would work on him too.
NO! It's all coming back!*runs away*
Oh... umm Hi Charlie.
C'mon...Mom,Dad I love you guys. Just wanted to say that before I forget you
Charlie had undergone the operation and it worked. Charlie then went around boasting and showing off how smart he was. His teacher Ms.Kinnian even began to call him Charles to show his mental progress (growth). Charlie had a brief moment of glory before everything went south and he realized the operation did something that he would have to live with forever.
Not too long after his brief moment of glory Algernon reverted back to his original state and later died. He buried Algernon with the thought that the same thing would happen. But instead of experiencing death... his brain started to deteriorate to the point where he couldn't even walk.
Charlie Gordon is now a 37 year old man who goes back to visit Ms. Kinnian ,but when he arrives she calls him Charlie. He immediately began experiencing Déjà vu of when he used to be her student. Charlie then runs away because he cannot bare the pain of his past.
Charlie later on starts losing all his thoughts, memories, etc. He tries to focus and consentrate on the thought of his Mother and Father just hoping if there's a chance that he could somehow not lose the memory of his parents too if he just consentrated on them alone. But it was no good.
Charlie leaves town and has to deal with that 1 mistake for the rest of his lifespan. The moral of the story is determination is great but not at the risk of your health, mental sanity,or anyone else's etc. In conclusion Charlie Gordon has had a hard life and If you ask me a guy who just wanted to be smart he didn't deserve this.
