  • Inciting Incident
  • Rising Action
  • "Hey Sheryl, I dare you to go and steal one of Mrs.Stones' necklaces!"
  • "Her room is right up these stairs. And if you choose not to do the dare, we're not gonna talk to you EVER again!"
  • It was just a regular day at school for me. I got on the bus and sat with my best friend Tracey, her boyfriend, Raymond, and his twin brother Damon. We've all been friends since elementary school so I consider all of them my family. Today was just another boring Wednesday; or so i thought...
  • Climax
  • Luckily, we all have lunch together in seventh period so that's when we usually fill one another in on what's new. "Yo guys!" Raymond said enthusiastically. "What?" Tracey replied. "Guess who's having a party st his house tonight?" We all exchanged a look of confusion. "Ricky Stone!" Raymond yelled. "No way" I said, "Rich Ricky?" "Yes" Raymond replied, "We're all invited too so get ready to party !!!"
  • Falling Action
  • It wasn't long until night fell that Wednesday. We arrived at the party right on time and decided to walk around. Tracey and Raymond stopped in front of the staircase and looked at me with a devilish look in their eyes. They had dared me to go upstairs and steal jewelry from Mrs.Stone! I was torn because they also told me if i refused, we couldn't be friends anymore.
  • Resolution
  • I headed for the stairs, unprepared for what was going to happen next. I easily found Mrs.Stones room, it was purely extravagant. I wanted to get this done and over with so i quickly went into her jewelry box and grabbed some earrings and a necklace. As i went to leave her room, Mrs.Stone was standing right there in front of the exit.
  • I stood there, paralyzed with fear, not knowing how Mrs.Stone would react. Her eyes were not filled with anger nor sadness, just disappointment. "Mrs.Stone, I'm so sorry, I'll put it back-" she cut me off, "I'm going to have to call the police Sheryl." I was full of fear as the words police rolled off of her tongue. I was at a loss of words. She escorted me out the house, passing by my so called "friends" and not saying a word,
  • After the police took me, i was sent to juvie, charged with attempted robbery and underage drinking at the party. This is currently my eighth day here and i have twenty-two more days to go. Although I'm not under the best circumstances, I learned to not let your friends cloud your judgement because if I never did that, I wouldn't be here right now.
