Storyboard Text

  • “I was not sleeping you are not waking me” (line 67)
  • Prologue- The people need Oedipus; he answers the call letting the people know that he’s working on it.
  • “You see how all the ages of our people cling to your altar steps” (line 17,18)
  • Scene 1 – Teiresias tells Oedipus that the killer of the king is Theban. Hinting that Oedipus killed the king.
  • “Who came to his father’s bed, wet with his father’s blood.” (Line 243)
  • “But it will soon be shown that he is a Theban” (line 236)
  • “I killed him. I killed them all.” (Line 288,289)
  • Scene 2- Oedipus discovers that he killed the king not knowing that the king was his father yet.
  • “Apollo said through his prophet that I was the man Who should marry his own mother, shed his father’s blood.” (Line 81-83)
  • Scene 3- Apollo tell Oedipus that he killed his father and married his mother
  • Scene 4 – Oedipus realizes that he was the one that killed his father.
