Storyboard Text

  • Fit to govern? No, not to live.
  • Macduff, this noble passion, child of integrity, hath from my soul wiped the black scruples, reconciled my thoughts to thy good truth and honor.
  • If someone like me is fit to be king, let me know. I really am exactly as I have described myself to you.
  • Your castle is surprised, your wife and babes savagely slaughtered.
  • I have words that would be howled out in the desert air, where hearing should not latch them.
  • If it be mine, keep it not from me. Quickly let me have it.
  • Be this the whetstone of your sword. Let grief convert to anger. Blunt not the heart, enrage it.
  • When Malcom encounters Macduff outside of King Edward's palace, he's suspicious of Macduff's true intentions and tests him to see his reaction.
  • But soon after Macduff has convinced Malcom of his genuity, Ross comes with news of how Macduff's family is doing in Scotland.
  • Though Macduff greives over his wife and children's deaths, Malcom advises him to turn his sorrow into anger to fight against Macbeth.
