Storyboard Text

  • Glad to see that you all are ready! Here's your rubber pig...when you're ready, lay the fake pig on it's back and open the velcro up. Take note on all the organs you find and what functions it may serve for! I'm going to put this on your table
  • GOT IT!!
  • I know right and the pig itself actually feels like thick skin
  • *Opens velcro* woah that made a cool noise
  • It does! Glad it doesn't smell like it though ahahah
  • WOAH LOOK AT THE PIG'S DIGESTIVE SYSTEM.
  • YA I JUST TOUCHED THEM AND THE ORGANS FEEL LIKE SOFT AND SQUISHY RUBBER
  • Ok let's see what each organ is and what function it has in the pig's digestive system
  • IT SHOWS THE 8 MAJOR ORGANS SO CLEARLY
  • Yup! We should write that down in our notes
  • I think the red/ orange section is the esophagus
  • Ya! Isn't an esophagus the tube that carries the food from the mouth of the pig to its stomach
  • Looks like the liver is a gland in the body that separates bile
  • Oh I know that the yellow section is the liver
  • Sure does and it's beneath the esophagus...I'll write that in our notes too
  • The green part is the gallbladder and by looking and feeling this part, I think that it's a sac like structure that serves as a storage component for bile
  • Oh I know this one, the pig's stomach stores & breaks down nutrients and passes all the digested food into the small intestine
  • Woahh feel the stomach it's like flimsy rubber...also I'll write down our findings in our notes
  • YES! And the blue part right next to it is the stomach!
