  • Mesoamerican Life 
  • Hey guys! Welcome to "The Loss of Aztlan" tour. The first thing we are visiting is the Mesoamerican life. The life of an mesoamerican mainly consist of growing crops like corn.
  • Conquest 
  • The conquest was a tough time for Mexico. Spaniards took over. 
  • Mexican-Independence 
  • As you can right here there is Mexicans fighting for their independence. The demand their Independence from the Spaniards. 
  • Most mesoamericans spend their time growing crops as a job.
  • US-Mexico War
  • This is the US-Mexican war, you might want to be careful because it can get a little heated. 
  • On February 1, the conquest of Mexico started when the Spaniard took over the Aztec empire. 
  • Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo
  • "In the said territories, property of every kind, now belonging to Mexicans not establish there, shall be inviolably respected........"  
  • Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo 
  • This is a copy the Treat of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The treaty was made to have peace between the US and Mexico in February 2, 1848. It also gave Mexico lands to the Us. 
  • Hidalgo was the man who yelled for the Mexican's independence from the Spaniards. 
  • Aztlan and Chicano Connections
  • Aztlan and Chicano have some connections. Chicancos believed that Aztlan was their home land.  
  • The US declared a war on Mexico which cause Mexico to loss their land. 
  • The treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed in February 2, 1848 to stop the US-Mexico war.
  • Chicanos feel connected to the Aztlan because Aztlan is their home land and where they come from.
