  • Baby Jesus
  • Jesus broke bread and shared it with his disciples, telling them to "do this in remembrance of me"(Luke 22:19)
  • Jesus offered wine to his disciples, saying to them: "Drink from it, all of you. This is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you." Luke 22:20.
  • Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews.
  • The holy spirit will guide you.
  • The immaculate conception. A heavily pregnant Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem on a donkey. Mary gives birth to Jesus, the Son of God, in a stable.
  • That's impossible the tomb is open. Jesus body is gone!
  • The Last Supper was the final meal Jesus shared with his disciples, the night before his crucifixion. During the meal, Jesus predicted that one of his disciples would betray him. The Luke 22:20 quote shows that, through the sacrifice Jesus was about to make, a new relationship would be formed between God and humanity. The Last Supper holds a special significance for Christians as it forms the basis of the Eucharist, a key Christian church service.
  • We will be your witness!
  • We will spread your word
  • The Roman authorities and the Jewish council wanted Jesus dead. They thought he was a political and social trouble-maker. They got one of Jesus’ disciples, Judas, to betray him. Christians believe that Jesus was far more than a political radical. For them the death of Jesus was part of a divine plan to save humanity - Jesus died for humanities sins.
  • Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!
  • The Resurrection: Luke’s Gospel states that some of the women went to visit the tomb of Jesus to anoint his body. When they arrived they found the stone covering the tomb rolled away and two men in bright shining clothes appeared to them. They asked the women, Why are you looking among the dead for one who is alive? He is not here; he has been raised. (Luke 24:5). For most Christians, the resurrection is the most significant event. It is the ultimate miracle which proves the divinity of Jesus.
  • After Jesus’ resurrection he spent time with the apostles (his 12 closets disciples) and told them that God would send down the Holy Spirit to them just as he had promised. Jesus commissioned his disciples to spread his word/teachings and to be his witness. He told them to go to Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth with his message and blessed them.
  • After Jesus instructs his disciples a cloud suddenly covers him and Jesus disappears and is taken up into heaven. Two men then appeared clothed in white robes and told the disciples: “Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Acts 1:11. The ascension shows Jesus returning to his Father and later at Pentecost the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, just as Jesus had promised.
