- I have a plan called the New Jersey Plan which provides a strong unicameral legislature in which every state has one vote.

- Unfortunately we disagree with you Virginia plan and will look into this "New Jersey Plan"
- I've taken some time thinking and I've came up with the Virginia plan. This plan shifts power to the central government.

- I don't like your plan Edmund. I believe some of your points dont correct the weaknesses of the articles of confederation
- We need to revise the Articles of Confederation.

- Agreed. We need an entirely new government system, the Articles of confederation isn't working as well as we planned.

- I completely agree with you. I do have this idea that could change everything. Allows representation by size and population. It grants each voice an equal voice for all states.
- This plan has many weaknesses. I much rather continue with the Virginia plan.
- How about we only count 3/5 of the slave population?
- I agree with that. It is a fair way of representing states.
- Would slaves be counted as part of the population?
- How will the commerce be settled?
- I think we can all agree on that.
- Thats a good question. Im from the north and I would like for the government to control the trade.
- Lets just have taxes on export goods levied.
- I'm from the south and my people wouldn't like the government placing tariffs on our goods.
