  • originally radios were very expensive
  • Even though the price of radios went down in the 1920's they were still quite expensive and high end sets could cost as much as a car, some people made there own sets called Chrystal sets to save money
  • radio offered entertainment(music, comedy, preaching, news )
  • foster Hewitt announced the first hockey night in Canada on Feb 8 1923
  • Jazz can either be fast pasted or slow pasted
  • Music that was big in the 1920's was
  • Phonographs was an other way people listened to music. If you didn't have a radio in the 1920's you had a phonograph
  • People felt freer with their money as the decade progressed. Entertainment became much more popular. Medium format roll film was created  Quality of film was constantly increasing Motion-pictures and dialogue became synchronized: "part-talkies"  Sound films
  •  The new dance crazes were for the new women and men who valued extreme sports, frivolity and looser morals. Most dancing took place in nightclubs and community centers.
