Thesis Statement: Conformity is important to teenagers because they want to belong, and when they do conform they feel comfortable and they feel like they fit in around that certain group of people.

Belonging- Ethos "Asch's work showed that people are reluctant to break with group norm even if the group is small, ad hoc, and made of complete strangers." Explanation: Even if there are only a small amount of people or strangers people are more likely to follow whatever they do. Even if they are doing something bad that breaks the rules. They do this to fit in. Comfortable-Pathos "So conformity is a part of our hardware, facilitating our survival and bringing us comfort. Explanation: Conformity is what we feel like we need in order to fit in and feel comfortable. We conform to make ourselves feel better. Fitting in-Logos "Looking inward, such tightly bonded groups exert a more powerful influence. Thus, if you want to know whether your child smokes pot, ask yourself whether her friends do." Explanation: If we see our friends smoking pot we are likely to follow. We do this because we want to fit in.

We're all conforming
In this image there are a whole bunch of girls who are all wearing the same clothing and are doing the exact same thing. They are all talking and looking at their phones. But the girl in the back is wondering what they are all doing and wishing that she can be apart of them.
Analogy Conformity is like dogs following new ones wherever they go. This means that dogs following around other dogs is the same as humans following exactly what people do and what they wear. Irony: They all look alike
In this image she is finally conforming because she is wearing the same colors outfit as the rest of the girls and she is also doing the same thing as them. Symbolism In the image the girls are wearing the same outfits and having the exact same phones.
