- French & Indian War-During 1754 the British and French broke out in war over a land mass in North America called the Ohio River Valley.

- Tax on Tea
- Stamp Act-This law taxed all documents such as news paper,diplomas,contracts,marriage licenses and other legal documents.
- Reaction
- Many colonial leaders convinced colonists that they were being taxed unfairly and that colonists had no voice in the government.This extremely angered colonists causing protest against the British.
- Tea Act-The parliament repealed the Townshend Acts expect for the taxes on tea.This act also granted companies the right to ship tea directly to colonies without first landing it in England.
- Boston Tea Party-Many colonists believed that the Tea Act was the Parliament's attempt to seize control from the colonial government .A group of colonists dressed as native americans and boarded three ships and dumped over 300 chests of tea into the ocean.
