When Christina and Gabby get back to the time of the French Revolution, they notice things are a little strange. the see a man named Napoleon speaking to a crowd. "This must be after the Third Estate revolted against the Second and Third Estate with the "Storming of the Bastille" said Christina. "Oh yeah! They did it because the National Assembly in France was voting unfairly on subjects such as taxes and Absolute Monarchy" said Gabby. They girls later found a news board that explained everything that happened before that.
I am Napoleon and I will rule France!
When the girls read the news board in the time square they learn that King Louis XVI and his wife, Marie Antoinette, were sentenced to the guillotine and had their heads chopped off. They also learn that The Third Estate stormed the Bastille, a prison in France, and cut off the main guards head as well. It explains how this was the first revolutionary act of the French Revolution. It also says that a man named Robespierre came to power & their was a time called "The Reign of Terror" where anyone who was against the revolution was sent to the guillotine. this time period effected everyone from all social classes. Even Robespierre was sent to the guillotine during the end of this time.
King and Queen sentenced to the Gullotine after found guilty of treason......
The girls wonder around for a little bit before they use the time machine to go about 10 years later.
The girls also the learn that the man they saw earlier was the war hero, Napoleon, who planned to be the new ruler of France.
When the girls arrive 10 years later they find another news board and it explains how Napoleon was a pretty good ruler until he started to rule more like an absolute monarch. His armies grew weaker and weaker before the people and the government started to go against him. It explained the events of "The Battle of Waterloo", a war in which Napoleons army was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition. The News board also explained that before that the Congress of Vienna sentenced him to exile. Napoleon was shipped to the island of Elena. However, people ended up helping him escape and he returned to France and took power again. Lastly, the news board, explained how he was then confined on the island of Saint Helena, where he died.
The girls take the time machine back to the present day and think about what they learned.
